OT: China jails US ‘spy’ geologist

“A US geologist has been jailed by a Chinese court for eight years in a case that has raised concerns over China’s vague secrecy laws restricting access to business information.

Xue Feng, 45, was found guilty of spying and collecting state secrets on China’s oil industry, and then selling that information on to a US consultancy group.

Jon Huntsman, the US ambassador to China, attended the hearing to display Washington’s interest in the case, but left the court without commenting after the verdict was announced.

The US embassy later issued a statement calling for Xue’s immediate release and deportation to the United States.”

A general Israel-related comment: it seems like there is more chatter than usual concerning a possible war between Israel and Hezbollah/Lebanon in the near future.

A lot of sabers being rattled.

  3. I’ll bet Moscow will Defend al-Qaeda and Hezbollah too. They are so deserving of each other. This is why the Fiasco was so much entertained by the Bahrain Police, over the assassination of the Hamas Leader too. It was a Ploy and a myth. Created to make Israel look Bad, and get all the Intel they could from the World’s Press on the Subject too. Crafty but has a critical part in the Plan, they gave away the Turkish Plans too. Which are now Backfiring and Putting Turkey in a Choice position to Defend an Old Ally. The moderate Muslim World is Not Dumb at all they have been seeing this Improve their Foothold in The Middle East and putting Israel in a favorable place, to Defend them from Iran. AS well as Pakistan, to defend them from Northern Forces too. Russian Intel surely played a Role in the Intelligence that captured the Israeli Spies.

US airline ‘loses Netanyahu bodyguard guns’

A bag belonging to agents travelling with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was mistakenly put on a flight from New York to Los Angeles, not to Washington.

Alarmingly the bag contained four 9mm Glock handguns, which are now missing.

A Shin Bet spokesman told the AP news agency that it is not known whether the guns went missing before or after the luggage was put on the wrong flight.

The Israeli officers were accompanying Mr Netanyahu to Washington for White House talks with President Barack Obama.
